Native Copper

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Andacollo, Elqui Province, Coquimbo Region, Chile
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
7.5 × 4.8 × 2.4 cm
Description

Exceptionally fine crystallised native copper from this locality. This material comes from a find in the 1970's. It still retains a natural bright copper appearance and I have had the specimen for more than two years.

It has not been treated as far as I can tell. The crystals are sharp and brilliant under the microscope. Very difficult material to come by these days and you would normally expect to pay a high price for it.
