Description

This particular specimen was part of the collection of Oliver Konzcer, a well-known Austrian collector. Among worldwide locations one of his special interest was the minerals from Romania. This specimen shows some well-developed and colorful chalcopyrite-crystals in a “nest” of small quartz crystals. The max. size of the chalcopyrite is 2,3 cm – the specimen is free standing. As all mines in Maramures are closed since the 90s, there’s no new material to expect. Quality specimens like this, became rare on the market.
