Description
Locality:
Burra Burra Copper Mine, Burra, Mount Lofty Ranges, South Australia, Australia
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
8.5 × 5.5 × 3 cm
Description

A nice cabinet specimen of dark green banded old Burra malachite. This specimen was probably mined during the 1860 -1870 period. It is unusual that it also exhibits crystals of malachite.

There has been some attempt in the past to polish one side of the specimen, but it is barely noticable. Displays well.
