Description

You are bidding on an excpetional willemite from the Alice Kraissl and Steven Phillips collections. This is by far the best willemite in the collection in my opinion, and the sample hosts beautiful clusters of fiber optic prisms of willemite with clusters of purple tephroite crystals, sharp orange modified dodecahedra of andradite and complicated calcite crystals. Don't judge this sample by my poor photos.

This specimen is from the Steven Phillips collection of Franklin District micromounts and rarities curated by Vandall King, and features specimens from a multitude of well-known collectors of the locality including Alice Kraissl, Russ DeRoo, Dave Cook, Van King and others. Many of these samples may be featured in photos in the upcoming three volume series of books being compiled by Vandall King.
