Description

A plate with a very rich coverage of sharp, lustrous, transparent yellow cubic fluorite crystals up to 1 cm with some violet rims, associated with some small chalcopyrite and quartz crystals. The backside has a rich coverage of small siderite and baryte crystals. Collected in the 1950's in the Amandus Flacher vein at the Shaft 139 mine, a fluorite mine at Lauta closed in 1958. A very fine and hard to find specimen from this classic Saxon locality.
