Description

Attention to this specimen!. It is a floater cluster of cherry red cuprite crystals of gorgeous lustre on a core matrix of lustrous native copper. The crystals are octahedral, with edges modified by the rhombic dodecahedron.

Cuprites from Kamoto are extremely rare, and this has been in my collection from over a decade.

It was found in the late 1960’s by Martial Borzee.
