Description

This old specimen aroused my interest due to the amount of species contained on top of it. More of those listed on its previous label (adhesive, anonymous and no longer available) and one of which has not yet been reported in this location. In addition to the beautiful flat red proustite crystals in several points on the matrix, the blue-grey symplesite tufts scattered here and there in many areas, the glassy and shiny octahedral crystals of arsenolite (every where), also black botryoidal crystalline groups of arsenic and small bright yellow, typically stratified crystals of orpiment (green arrow), the latter not listed for this locality.
In any case an intriguing old sample that awakens curiosity under the microscope.
