Description

Heimite is a recently approved new PbCu arsenate, (IMA no. 2022-019) with a new structure type, was found in a small prospect in an alpine area of Switzerland. Chemically it is comparable, i.e., to bayldonite and duftite.

This significant specimen shows a fan of thin teal crystals on a matrix rich in secondary copper minerals.

Excellent sample, analyzed by one of the authors, will be sent with its analyzes.
