Description

Sabelliite is a rare mineral whose type locality is Is Murvonis mine which nowadays is practically inaccessible and has been found in few other places in the world.
In this remarkable specimen, dozens of crystals, in the shape of small glassy and transparent emerald green coins, are visible in two points indicated by red arrows. In a third point (yellow arrow), dozens of green crystals, cover the altered dark top of a turquoise-colored theisite crystals bundle. Sabelliite appears to have a relationship with alteration of theisite.
In a fourth point (green arrow) some clusters of assembled sabelliite crystals take the form of emerald green half-spheres.
Exceptional, rare, old sample (2002).
