Description

Armellinoite-(Ce) IMA 2018-094 is a very rare Ca, Ce arsenate, found in the dump of the Montaldo mine. Since it was approved, this is the second sample that runs on e-Rocks, the previous one was inserted by me 2 years ago, although three years are gone since its official approval, I have never seen other specimens on the market. This rare specimen host a crystalline portion of the classic transparent yellow color and it's a fragment of the olotype original sample. An exceptional specimen, the only one I have available after 2 years! Absolutely rare!

Armellinoite-(Ce) is named after G.Armellino... (I am honored to be able to write it, my close dear friend and fellow of many "on field research")... a sophisticated researcher and systematic collector specializing in minerals of Liguria and other specific localities, with specimens only personally collected.
He is the discoverer of this new species and the co-discoverer of poppiite, cortesognoite, molinelloite and also the one who first found more than 80 mineral species new for Italian regions.
