Description

Parascandolaite is an extremely rare fluoride crystallizes as cubes and is associated with fluorite drops. Excellent rich specimen with crystals that coat many areas of the sample. Analyzed from authors.

 

Named in honor of Antonio Parascandola (1902/1977) professor of mineralogy, geology and later volcanology and physical geography. The mineral was found in scoria formed during the 1944 eruption that Parascandola studied.
