Description

Tin white metallic inclusions of a probable mixture of two very similar Fe carbides haxonite ((Fe,Ni)23C6) and cohenite ((Fe,Ni,Co)3C) from the famous Toluca meteorite that was found in Mexico in 1776 and weighted 3 tons.

Toluca meteorite is the TL for haxonite.

Toluca mineral specimens are very rare in the mineral market !

Probably analyzed by the former owner of the specimen  since it is a polished section (the Vandenbroucke Museum, but the analysis is no longer available)
