Description

This gold specimen features a pair of black sphalerite crystals -one clearly dominant at the base-connected by a flattened crystallized gold wire that pass throw them. The wire of gold has the distinctive yellow colour, moderate lustre and has an aerial development that reach 4 mm. Amazing aesthetic specimen that is mounted on a cubic acrylic socle.

Gold in matrix from Japan is scarce nowadays in the market, and this piece is small but representative of this classic Japanese mine. Part of an old hand-size specimen, that was acquired in 1950's, by  Ing. Felix Azpilicueta Viguera, former mayor of San Sebastian (Spain) in the late 1940’s.
