Description

A right-handed quartz, of good transparency and slightly smoky, with an evident right Dauphiné law twinning, where the triangular “x” faces are present at consecutive prism faces at the top right area. The x and rhombohedral faces are partially covered by green chlorite microcrystals. The tip present some chipping. Nice attractive piece of a classic Alpine locality.

Acquired in 1978. Ex Jan Sibtsen #2307.
