Description

Bright rich specimen of metallic bronze renierite from Kipushi, the type locality, associated to minor polychrome dark blue bornite. The label indicates that gallite and tennantite are present, but the silver metallic lustrous species, mainly filling cracks, is typical for briartite. Gallite, if present, is usually visible as small rounded inclusions.

Acquired in 1999. Ex Alain Carion; Ex Bob Janssens (specimen #1966).
