Description

Sharp gemmy tabular crystals of glauberite with great vitreous lustre and usual striations for prismatic developments. The main crystal is very aerial, well exposed all around and free of damages.

I collected this specimen back in 2004 at the Consuelo Mine, that produced long ago the World-best glauberite crystals during the short period it was exploited at the a XIX Century, from 1880 to 1889.

Mounted on an acrylic socle.
