Description

Dull, dark metallic and well-formed crystals of tetrahedrite, variety mercurian tetrahedrite, from the classic area of Großkogel in Austrian Tyrol. They are perched on snow white baryte and quartz. The crystals are undamaged. A good “Schwazite” from a classic European locality.

Acquired by Georges Vanacker* in 1972.

*Vanackerite from Tsumeb was named after him.
