Description

A XIX Century specimen of chlorophyllite from the first recorder locality. Originally described as a new mineral by Charles T. Jackson in 1844, it is actually a pseudomorph of “pinite” after cordierite. Includes a glued label.

Acquired in 5/2015 by Chris Deroo on e-rocks (specimen: LGM132408), originally acquired with two labels, that were not provided with the specimen. A printed copy of those labels will be given to the buyer. Ex Dr. Krantz; Ex Chris Deroo.
