Copper Psm Azurite

Pseudomorph

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Copper Rose Mine, San Lorenzo, Grant County, New Mexico, United States of America
Class:
Crystal Group/Cluster
Size Range:
Thumbnail (1-3cm)
Size:
2.6 × 2.4 × 2 cm
Description

Old, floater, euhedral and sharp tabular crystals of azurite completely replaced by native copper. It is a complete rosette pseudomorph and a good example from the Copper Rose Mine (New Mexico), a Classic Locality. In contrast to the “typical” material in the market, that is usually acidified, I keep it as original as possible to preserve the nice old patina.

Ex Dr. Raymond Dedeyne #85; Ex Iván Blanco collection.
