Description

A big 15 cm, 0.8 Kg classic ore specimen of feather pyrite (federpyrit), that are a replacement of brassy green pyrite after thin tabular pyrrhotite crystals. They are associated to cream yellow siderite and white quartz. It is a slab, cut at both sides and polished at the front. The give locality is Harz Mountains, and this is typical from Pfaffenberg Mine (Neudorf), a super classic German locality.

Acquired in 29/6/2014 to Hans Freytag. Ex Gustaaf #1449, with his handwritten label.
