Description

Deep red undamaged crystal cluster of eisenkiesel quartz with very good lustre and quite aerial, exposed on a polycrystalline grey-red matrix of gypsum. Even if these kind of specimens can be found in many Triassic localities at the East of Spain, we specially point out here the locality, Montroy, which has produced some of the best, bigger and darker coloured “Jacinto de Compostela” eisenkiesel quartz crystals, but in limited amounts.
