Description

Old time specimen with small aggregates of aragonite in part slightly greenish-blueish coloured by secondary copper minerals from Veitsch in Austria. The label describes it as cauliflower like aggregates from the dumps of the copper prospect af Mr. Herraeus, Dürrnsteinkogel. Veitsch, Styria. This historic copper mining prospect was first mentioned in 1584. Ex Bergdirektor Friedrich Wilhelm Rüping, Zinnwald (GER).
