Description

A real and rare german classic from the famous Rammelsberg SEDEX / SHMS deposit: three crystal aggregates of chalcanthite from the oxidation zone/subrecent/recent alteration of the sulphidic ore body at the UNESCO world heritage Rammelsberg Mine. I removed the alteration crust from one of the specimens to show that it really is chalcanthite. 19th century specimens with pen and ink label, the annoted size is that of the largest one. Rare stuff and almost impossible to obtain nowadays.
