Description

A good old timer classic of gonnardite from Horní Hrad (former Hauenstein) in Bohemia: Labeled as mesolites these have been analysed more recently (Rychlý, R. 1980) to be in fact gonnardite. White radial sprays with some cramy brwonish yellowish surfaces in vugs form an interesting and quite showy specimen. The Horni Hrad gonnardites are considered to be the best from Bohemia as mentioned in the book of Hyrsl/Korbel 2008: Mineralien und Fundstellen - Tschechien und Slowakei. A quite rare european classic old timer. Historic label attached to specimen.
