Description

Small vug in limonitic matrix lined with whitish hemimorphite crystals from an old german collection, around 100 years old. Label states (with question mark) Iserlohn as locality. Krug von Nidda Mine or Tiefbau von Hövel Mine are educated guesses but cannot be confirmed of course - and there were some more ancient mines in the area. Both mines closed around 1900 and worked on mainly oxidic zinc ore.
