Description

This is a very good example from this less known locality (these fluorites were told to earlier as to be from Catron County to deceive claim hoppers).

The fluorite exhibits curved octahedrons (due to subindividues) of deep purple colour with zonation and translucency. On the side of the specimen an earlier generation of greenish fluorite is visible. Hard to photograph because it is quite dark.

A real good and showy North American fluorite specimen.
