Description
Locality:
Tsumeb Mine, Otavi Highlands, Namibia
Size Range:
Small cabinet (7-10 cm)
Size:
9 × 6 × 2.2 cm
Description

Interesting and nice combo specimen: a "sherd" of malachite replacing azurite crystals (with nice internal structure and satin like lustre on the broken up parts) hosts lustrous colourless and clear cerussite crystals. The malachite is intergrown with light olive greenish masses which show darker olive resin lustrous microcrystals on the surface in vugs - i would ID as mottramite, but i did not analyze and i only have a 10 x loupe here.
