Description

An out-standing specimen from old discoveries in the mid of the 80ties. Alpine fadenquartz is generally very, very rare and high valued from alpine collectors. This one stands out for several indicators - size, quality and color. The crystals are all razor-sharp terminated, all faces highly lustrous and water-clear inside. In the center you can see a significent, white "Faden". But the most special indicator is color - some faces show a very thin layer of limonite - this layer is so thin that it doesn´t disturb luster or clarity, but in some angles it cause an iridiscent effect; which looks like oil on water. This material is incredible rare, never came twice and so more or less impossible to acquire. A true alpine treasure in finest quality!
