Fluorite With Baryte

Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Běstvina, Chrudim District, Pardubice Region, Czech Republic
Class:
Combination
Size Range:
Museum (18cm plus)
Size:
19.6 × 10.3 × 8.5 cm
Description

The light layer which covers the grey matrix shows a touch of light blue – that is really a nice contrast to pale yellow Fluorite crystals. The Fluorite crystals are gemmy – very good clarity and very good luster! Overall there are nearly no damages – really fine condition for the locality. Further you can see several snowy white Baryte roses. Some of them are contacted (no room to grow), but also with some damages – not perfect. But for the locality really very good. For Bestvina this specimen is of highest relevance because of dimension, crystal quality, contrast (not just inter grown Fluorites) and condition.
The second photo shows the backside of the specimen, which is completely covered with Fluorite and more Baryte. I rank this one high for rarity, the best Fluorite specimen I saw so far from the locality!
