Description

The specimen constists of dark cubic crystals as they are typically for the summit cleft. But this first generation of larger cyrstals is partly covered with a second generation of lighter multiple stepped tiny crystals. So the specimen is translucent when backlit only on areas without second generation. If you look at the backlight photo you can see the internal color of first generation, while second generation appears dark. Specimen came out of the 3rd cavern, 47 meters deep inside the mountain. Summitcleft is located near peak elevation (2711m) in the south slope of the mountain. Locality is non-productive since 2006. No significent damages to report.
