Single Crystal

Description

This is old Austrian classic, discovered in the 70ties. These fluorites came from a contact-zone of Haselgebirge and Gutensteiner Kalk. Usually there are only very small clefts which include crystals around 1cm. This is an uncommon large (for the locality) crystal, partly contacted and with minor inter-grown dolomite. Photo was done with backlight to expose this amazing purple color.
