Description

Here we have a truly fantastic example of blue aragonite from Austria. Blue aragonite from the Austrian Alps is a rare and highly desired variety and usually it is found at the famous Styrian Erzberg. Even rarer is this specimen form Brixlegg, famous for copper minerals like azurite and malachite. It is a very showy piece with several blocky pieces of so called "Grubenklein", which are covered with Aragonite - the color is caused my inclusions of Aurichalcite. This material represents an exceptional rarity and shows a great visual impact.
