Description

Two very well developped and complex green coloured titanite crystals are set on a matrix predominantly consisting of chlorite and a bit of quartz. One of the crystals (0.7 cm in size) has a damage – see pictures; the second one (1.1 cm in size) is pristine and shows very nice faces. Both are partially translucent and have some inclusions of chlorite.

The specimen is from the collection of the famous Swedish mineralogist Harry von Eckermann († 1969, the mineral Eckermannite is named after him) and is followed by an original label bonded in a cardboard box.
