Description

Black, very shiny, elongated euhedral microcrystal (about 0.1 mm) of paseroite with volborthite and quartz in a fossil wood. According to Mills et al. (2012) paseroite crystals fall in the 0.05 - 0.1 mm range in size so this specimen is well representative. IMA 2011-069. Named in honour of Prof. M. Pasero, currently IMA-CNMNC Vice-Chairman. Type and sole locality. Very rare. This specimen is part of the holotype.
