Description

This is a very sharp and gemmy, intensive blue chalcanthite crystal (!) with perfect terminations from an old gold mine near Rodalquilar in southern Spain.

The specimen was collected in 1978 in one of the old galeries of the mine. Only very few well developed crystals were ever found there.
