Ludwigite is a rare magnesium, iron borate and this rich, old-time specimen is from the Type Locality – Ocna de Fier (Moravica), Banat, Romania.A vein of silvery bright magnetite microcrystals is sandwiched between waxy, black, fibrous ludwigite crystals. Very highly representative of the rare species and type locale. Comes with two old and beautiful handwritten labels.
