Lauvland #4 Quarry, Evje og Hornnes, Agder, Norway

6.2 × 4.3 × 4 cm

5.60cm
Description

Two, unfortunately damaged, yellow beryl crystals in feldspar matrix with a brown, broken crystal of (most probably) monazite-ce (named as blomstrandite, which was betafite, which is discredited and now pyrochlore - but this is not known from Brattekleiv quarry - sigh!).

At best an interesting sample with something to analyze and discover.
