Description

This is one of the rarest honor plates, issued by the German 'Industrial Union Mining & Energy' for a 70-year-membership. The plate was produced by the world-famous porcellain manufacture 'Fürstenberg' from Saxony. It shows acicular, white pharmacolite crystals on a royal blue (cobalt blue) background with a gold rim (real leaf gold?). The 'crystals' are embossed - I think even handpainted. You can imagine how many union members reached the age to receive this 'honor plate' for a 70-year- membership ... Corresponding to this is the rarity of this plate. I have only seen this once.

Comes in the original, sturdy box.
