Description

Because of the great demand I offer the maybe second very best historical piece of skeletal galena in a sphalerite-wurtzite schalenblende from Kelmis. It comes out of the university of Aachen (Aaken) stock from before the first world war - before 1914! At this time Kelmis was still German territory.

The specimen shows microcrystals of wurtzite in layed-open structures.

Perfect polish and shine. What looks like scratches are probably smears or reflections. Please excuse also the reflections of the camera.

One of the best specimens of this kind I've seen so far.
