Description Tabs

Description
Locality:
Namib Lead Mine, Rössing Mountains, Arandis, Erongo Region, Namibia
Size Range:
Cabinet (10-18 cm)
Size:
13 × 9 × 5 cm
Description

This spectacular massive specimen with lustrous micro crystals is part of the original find from 2005 of metasideronatrite at this locality. The specimen is XRD-analyzed by Uwe Kolitzsch. The sideronatrite specimen at mindat.org is metasideronatrite too and the information there is wrong (should be corrected soon). This is one of the two biggest and best specimen of that find you might be able to get and possibly one of the best from anywhere.
The white crystals might be hydrozincite.
Don't treat with water! Don't expose to too much of sunlight!
Was in our collection for several years.
