Description

By far the rarest specimen i have to offer this year on e-rocks. The specimen comes from the famous find at the Weisser Hirsch Mine in 1871 when they discovered several new rare species at just a few recovered boulders, including trögerite, uranosphaerite, zeunerite and walpurgite. In 1980 it was discovered that some of the recovered old samples did contain another very rare species; asselbornite. Well this sample has them all, small rounded yellow-orange crystals of asselbornite, light yellow tabular trögerite crystals, tiny orange crystals of uranosphaerite, green tabular zeunerite crystals and some yellow acicular uranophane. Looks beautiful under magnification. An excellent and very rare specimen, one of just a few dozen known samples.
