Crystal Group/Cluster

A large chalcopyrite in golden metallic color from this famous historic locality. In addition to the large main crystal, there are other smaller chalcopyrites which are grown in combination with small white quartz crystals on a thin quartz plate. On the other side of the quartz plate, chalcopyrites, white quartz crystals and high-gloss pyrites have also grown. The mining history goes back about 2,000 years. Today it is prohibited to dig there; the area is a national park. The specimen is from an old local collection. Fine assembly, good contrast, undamaged!
