Description

The Summit Cleft has supplied many beautiful fluorites and has been known for the beautiful transparency of fluorites. Fluorite with quartz crystals is one of the rarities of the Summit Cleft. If you find such a piece, it is mostly destroyed by the frost and the different expansions of the minerals. These rare specimens are found in small pockets protected by water. These pockets are very small and produce very few pieces, sometimes only one piece is inside.

This fluorite has grown on a thin quartz plate. Small quartz crystals freely stand next to the fluorites or have grown in the fluorites. There is also an etched calcite crystal on the quartz plate. The fluorite shows a glossy to satin gloss surface. Within the fluorite there are several colors of zoning along their edges. But you only see it with very strong backlit because the fluorite is so dark. Well crystallized on both sides!
