Description

You are bidding on a large, single smoky quartz crystal from the core of the Palermo pegmatite that is sprinkled with clusters and single crystals of palermoite both on and beneath the surface. This is a very large quartz crystal from Palermo, and crystals of this size were rarely encountered. The clusters of palermoite crystals are richest near the termination. There is a repair on the central portion of the crystal, but nonetheless is an excellent sample from the Robert Whitmore collection of Palermo minerals.
