Avalite specimen from Mt Avala, Belgrade, Serbia where it was originally described.

Comes with beautiful antique label dated 1889!
The label means: 'Avalit - farbiges Gangstück vom Contact mit dem Serpentin - Von Schuplja Stena vom Avalaberg, 24 klm. von Belgrad' (Avalite - colored vein from contact with serpentine - From Schuplja Stena from Avala Mountain, 24 kilometres from Belgrade).
Avalit = Cr-rich illite, AM 42, 122 (1957).
