Description

This classic Polish specimen features several high metallic lustrous crystals of rare sulfosalt meneghinite embedded in a matrix of mostly solid sphalerite. It comes from the locality of Orzeł Biały Mine, former Bleyscharley. This is a rare and typical specimen in very good shape and comes with fine old labels. Meneghinite is named in honor of Guiseppe Giovanni Antonio Meneghini (1811-1889), professor of geology at the Uiversity of Pisa who first discovered the species.
