Description

Apple-green, tabular, lustrous, partly transparent titanite crystals up to 1.2 cm across on chromite  matrix from Sarany, Ural Mountains, Russia. Some of the crystals are not perfectly developed. The piece is a very nice example of the titanites from the Ural Mts., known for their rich green color, caused by chromium abundantly present at this deposit.
