Description

The specimen consists of a very thin vein of ironstone held together in a plate formation of by calcite. The calcite is grown out on the topside of the matrix with two impressive crystals and on the underside with a miriad of tiny crystals. On the topside a pair of calcite crystals lying in parallel at a low inclination but opposite facing are the attraction. Included in the main calcite crystals is hematite 'dust' particles defining the phantoms inside of the crystals.
