Description

One of the most intriguing and esthetic specimens of the current auction!

Native copper crystallized as a very thin leaf for the most of its extent (2 mm) and then diverges as a couple of elongated, rounded, well-formed spinel law twin individuals, with the main one in excess of 2.5 cm! With good natural lustre, it comes with a natural 'hole' in the thin section of the specimen, which is surrounded by what appear to be numerous flattened, oriented copper crystals.

This specimen was purchased in Tucson in the 60s and remained in Swiss hands until I got it a few years ago. It has not been cleaned nor treated and it is in outstanding conditions.
