A true rarity from Attika, Greece, this piemontite specimen is a rich miniature composed of dozens of well formed, elongated, vivid red crystals developed in a pale grey schist.

This comes from a one-off find in the late 80s-early 90s on the Mount Ymittos, East of Athens, an area characterized by thorough regional metamorphism (predominantly marble and schist). The collectors never disclosed the exact spot.
